CLELAND, MOTHERWELL
Harsh lines and spare geometry of an unusual "Bauhaus" home are both echoed
and contrasted in the garden. Here a collapsing "bull's eye" design is employed to
mitigate the problems of an awkward pie shaped plot by focusing the eye on the central
pond feature away from the sharp south corner and reconciling the thin side of the garden
with the main rear garden. Bold organic forms soften and contrast with the strong geometric layout.
